Quetta Terror Attack: 59 police recruits killed
Amid its struggle for Independence, Balochistan witnessed a tragic militant attack in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan in Pakistan, at a police training college which killed around 59 people and wounded 120 on late Monday.

Three militants equipped with suicide jackets, who belong to the Al-Alimi faction of the Lashkar-e-Jhangvi group, entered the police training college with fully loaded guns and harmful explosives killing 59 people and wounding more than 100.

Immediately after the attack, Pakistan's military counter-operation was conducted and killed all three militants. As being a police training college, most of the victims were young cadets.

"I saw three men in camouflage whose faces were hidden carrying Kalashnikovs. They started firing and entered the dormitory but I managed to escape over a wall," said a cadet who escaped from terror attack.

Balochistan provincial Home minister Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti told reporters that Pakistan's army and the paramilitary Frontier Corps took part in the military counter-operation and is now over.

Balochistan, the fruit garden of Pakistan, struggling on with militant attacks from last months. Even in August, a suicide bombing at a Quetta hospital, claimed by the Islamic State group and the Jamaat-ul-Ahrar faction of the Pakistani Taliban, resulted in assassination of 73 people.
