Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu seems to have woken up from slumber after facing the dressing down from his friend-philosopher-guide Vemuri Radhakrishna, managing director of Andhra Jyothy daily and ABN-Andhra Jyothy channel.
Apparently reacting to the points raised by RK in his column in Andhra Jyothy, Naidu told the party functionaries on Monday that he would not like to trouble them and also officials with regular teleconferences early in the morning.
“Hereafter, I will hold teleconferences only once in 15 days to get the feedback from you on various developmental programmes,” he said.
Naidu also assured the officials that he would review the departmental functioning only once a month, one department at a time.
He also took Radhakrishna’s advice on party affairs very seriously and said he would dedicate at least two to three hours a day to the party activities.
The MLAs, Ministers and other party leaders can come to his residence in the evening hours and discuss the party activities, Naidu said.
Good. At least now, one would hope Naidu will focus on party and the government, instead of publicity.
