Maneka not confident about Varun as much as elephant Sidda

Mysuru: The Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare sounded confident about Pachyderm Sidda’s recovery but remained silent on her son Varun’s prospects in UP.
On a private visit to the city, Maneka Gandhi went to Suttur Matt and was seen interacting with the Pontiff Jagadguru Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji for some time.
After receiving his blessings, she told the media, that she was closely monitoring the health of the ailing pachyderm Sidda, battling for life at Manchinabele and had not sought any information on the issue from state government.
Siddha had fractured its right forelimb after falling into a ditch. Sidda, the 50-year-old badly wounded wild pachyderm, lying near Manchanabele dam, showed signs of improvement. The Forest Department has erected a pandal to shield the elephant from the scorching sun. IV had been administered to Sidda and energy supplements provided to enable its speedy recovery.
BJP stronger in UP:
She exuded confidence on BJP’s prospects in the coming Assembly elections in UP and said the party will benefit a great deal because of internal bickering in Samajavadi parivar. When asked about her son Varun being projected as the next CM, she stated that the party high command will take a final call in that regard.
