China Warns US: Stay out of border dispute with India
China on Monday criticized the US and asked the sovereign not to interfere in its border dispute with India.

China's response was to the visit of US envoy to Arunachal Pradesh, a highly disputed region between China and India. In fact, the US ambassador visited Arunachal Pradesh to attend a festival.

'We firmly oppose the visit of a top official of US to the disputed area between India and China. It will further complicate the dispute and disturb tranquility in the region. We urge the US to stop meddling in boundary issue between Beijing and New Delhi," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said at a media briefing.

"Two countries are currently indulged in talks to resolve territorial disputes and any third party interference could hamper the peaceful developments. We believe the two nations have the wisdom to handle the dispute," he added.

China claims a big part of Arunachal Pradesh, a northeast state of India, calling it South Tibet.
